TouchGFX 2015 Demo on STM32F469I with a 4.0″ Display

TouchGFX running on STMicroelectronic‘s STM32F469I-DISCO board with 4,0” resolution of 800×480 MIPI-DSI capacitive color touch display.

The low MCU load leaves enough processing power to overcome other tasks while doing even very complex and demanding display updates. The demonstration of Sensory‘s TrulyHandsFree Speech Recognition with TouchGFX running simultaneoulsy is a great example of just that.

With TouchGFX on STM32 microcontrollers, you get a high frame rate and achieve smooth transitions similar to those on smartphones.

TouchGFX running on STMicroelectronic‘s STM32F429 EVAL board with 5,7” resolution of 640×480 capacitive touch display.

The MCU load is displayed on all demo screens ranging from 1 to approximately 25%. This leaves enough processing power to overcome other tasks while doing even very complex and demanding display updates.

With TouchGFX on STM32 microcontrollers, you get a high frame rate and achieve smooth transitions similar to those on smartphones.

The MCU load is displayed in the upper right corner, revealing that the application leaves enough processing power to overcome other tasks, even while doing complex display updates.

TouchGFX utilizes the Chrom-art accelerator of the STM32F429, which off loads the MCU when rendering alpha-blended images.
